New at SU: Sommerkarte mit Farbkarton-Duo

Hola und willkommen zum New at SU Blog Hop!

Diesen Monat dreht sich alles um den wunderschönen Farbkarton-Duo von Stampin‘ Up! und das Thema Sommer. Als ich überlegt habe, was ich gestalten möchte, musste ich sofort an Portugal denken. Die wunderschönen Fliesenfassaden gehören für mich einfach zum Sommer dazu – Sonne, Urlaub und entspannte Tage am Meer.

Hello and welcome to the New at SU Blog Hop! This month we’re celebrating Stampin‘ Up!’s beautiful Two-Tone Cardstock and the theme of summer. When I started thinking about my project, my mind immediately wandered to Portugal. The famous decorative tile facades always remind me of sunshine, holidays, and relaxing summer days.online.

Für meine Karte habe ich den InColors Farbkarton-Duo „Blumen der Verbundenheit“ (Art.-Nr. 167735) verwendet. Das Besondere an diesem Papier ist der weiße Kern. Dadurch lassen sich tolle Effekte erzielen, wenn man das Papier prägt und anschließend leicht anschleift.

For today’s card I used the „Heirloom Boutique“ Two-Tone Cardstock (Item 167735). What makes this cardstock special is its white core. This allows you to create amazing effects by embossing and sanding the paper.

Ich habe die Farben Altrosa, Goldbraun und Piniengrün gewählt und jeweils Quadrate von 4 cm zugeschnitten. Anschließend habe ich sie mit der Prägeform „Häkelmuster“ (Art.-Nr. 163792) geprägt und vorsichtig angeschliffen. So kommt der weiße Kern zum Vorschein und das Muster wird wunderschön hervorgehoben.

I chose the colors Crisp Cantaloupe, Golden Glow, and Peaceful Pine and cut them into squares about 4 cm wide. I embossed them using the Crochet Pattern Embossing Folder (163792) and then lightly sanded the raised areas. The white core becomes visible and beautifully highlights the embossed design.

Ich liebe diesen Effekt! Für mich ist das die schönste Art, die Details eines Prägefolders sichtbar zu machen. Mit wenigen Handgriffen entsteht Struktur, Tiefe und ein ganz besonderer Vintage-Look.

I absolutely love this technique! In my opinion, it’s one of the best ways to showcase the intricate details of an embossing folder. With very little effort, you can add texture, depth, and a lovely vintage feel to your projects.

Die geprägten Quadrate habe ich mit Stampin‘ Dimensionals auf einem weißen Aufleger befestigt. Als Kartenbasis diente Farbkarton in Wolkenmeer, einer meiner Lieblingsfarben der InColors-Kollektionen.

The embossed squares were attached to a white layer using Stampin‘ Dimensionals. My card base is Cloud Cover, one of my favorite colors from the current InColor collection.

Der Spruch stammt aus dem Stempelset „Sonnige Vibes“ (Art.-Nr. 165150), das aktuell in der Kategorie Last Chance zu einem besonders attraktiven Preis erhältlich ist. Der Text „Stress raus, Sonne rein“ passt für mich perfekt zum Start in die Frühlings- und Sommersaison.

The sentiment comes from the „Sonnige Vibes“ stamp set (165150), which is currently available at a special price in the Last Chance section. The greeting translates roughly to „Stress out, sunshine in“ and feels like the perfect welcome to the spring and summer season.

Zum Schluss habe ich die Karte mit einigen InColor-Schmucksteinen in Goldbraun dekoriert.

Ich hoffe, diese Karte bringt dir ein kleines bisschen Sommerfeeling und inspiriert dich dazu, den Farbkarton-Duo einmal auszuprobieren. Für mich gehört er definitiv zu den Produkten, die man auf den ersten Blick vielleicht unterschätzt – bis man die tollen Effekte selbst ausprobiert.

To finish the card, I added a few coordinating InColor embellishments in Toffee Brown.

I hope this card brings a little summer feeling your way and inspires you to give Two-Tone Cardstock a try. It’s one of those products that can easily be overlooked—until you discover how many creative possibilities it offers.
